Is there parking availability at the Cathedral and the Reception?
Yes! There are some parking spots at the Cathedral itself which will fill very quickly, but there is additional parking in the Queen Street Parking Garage at 93 Queen Street.
For the reception, there is parking available at the Visitors Center Parking Garage at 63 Mary Street right around the corner from William Aiken House.
When should I arrive at the church?
Please arrive at 2:30pm (no later than 2:45pm), the service starts at 3:00pm on the dot!
Can I bring my children?
While we love all the children in our lives, we have made the decision to keep our reception an adults-only event.
What should I wear?
We kindly request formal attire! Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie, while ladies can opt for a floor-length gown or formal cocktail dress. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!
Will there be non-meat food options for Catholic guests, as the wedding is on a Friday during Lent?
Yes, and even better!
Our Wedding does take place on a Friday during Lent, which normally means our Catholic guests would abstain from eating meat for the day.
However, the Vicar General for the Cathedral of Charleston Very Rev. Gregory B. Wilson has very graciously granted a dispensation to all of our wedding guests from the Friday abstinence on the this special day!
